I have finished composing the ninth track (a short piece for piano, cello and bass called "Interlude: Reunion") for my second album. I am now working on the tenth piece, a trio sonata tentatively titled "The Sea Is Silent" (which will also be the name of the album). The main trio parts have been composed and I'm now working on the continuo part.
Happy New Year! 2013 was a relatively slow year for me musically. I did recently complete my third trio sonata, which will be the eighth composition for my second solo album, The Sea Is Silent. I am now working on
another trio sonata and two other compositions, and hope to complete writing the album this year.
I played piano at
the book release party for The New White Cat (by Michael Joseph with illustrations by Henry Charles; Cats in the Basement Press) on December 11, 2013, at
Rutgers' Alexander Library. Proceeds from book sales went to Scarlet Paws Animal Welfare Network, an animal rescue group I co-founded and volunteer for.
I recently counted down my 100 favorite songs of the rock
I am making slow but steady progress towards composing the music
for my second album (working title: The Sea is Silent). Seven compositions have been completed and four more are in various stages of completion. There will be at least four solo piano pieces and four compositions for mixed ensembles.
